SSP Invasion to Phuket
Recently I'd just visited Phuket with my TAR college gang. It was such a nice place especially the snorkeling spots. I was thinking.. wouldn't it be nice if I had the underwater camera casing. I experienced my first encounter of sharks here in Phi Phi Island, Phuket. Unlike most snorkeling spots in Malaysia, the corals here in Khai Nok are in shallow water. As u swim, the corals are just right below your chest... even after 20m (maybe even further) from shore, you can see and touch the underwater livings!! But after around 10m from shore, beware of sea urchins... those black 'rambutan' with blue eyes.. don't you even think about touching it! Hahahaha. As you go further to the sea, the corals n sea livings look nicer. I was enjoying myself when I was snorkeling around the area of 20+m from shore when I suddenly saw 2 baby sharks passing right beside me!!! Well, considering their size of a little bit longer than 1/2 meter... they looks pretty tame :P. I observed the babies for a while as they hunt for their tiny victims. After that I decided to swim back to shore to call my friends to join in (It's not like everyday you can see this stuff you know). Few of my friends were injured from the cuts of coral due to the shallow water, so they decided not to go deeper. I snorkel all the way back to the area where I saw the two babies hoping to see more of them. But to my disappointments, they were nowhere to be found. So, I just snorkel around... out of my expectation... i had a glimpse of something BIG from the corner of my eyes.. I turned to look... Ohh S**T.. its another shark but this one bigger.. around 1 meter. Lucky it was few meters away. I panicked and quickly swam back heading to the shore. Since the corals are in a shallow place, my life jacket was stucked on some of the corals. I was panicking at that time, so i push the corals with my hands and injured myself :'( .Luckily that shark wasn't heading my way HAHAHAHA... well, nobody ever taught SSP what to do during a shark encounter... you can't blame me for panicking okay. Anyway, that was a great experience!!!
Beside snorkeling, SSP also found out how much 'freedom' you'll have when u jump with nothing to hold on to.. hanging in the air :P. Yupe.. SSP just experienced her first bungy jump! Well, you won't feel the fear until the point where you stand at the end of d platform to jump. The jumpmaster reminds me not to look down and look at the hill across instead. However, stubborn SSP will never listen... as I looked down... I heard counting for my jump. I didn't jump... I told him I can't jump yet coz I was not ready HAHAHA. He recount "3.. 2.. 1.. Go bungy jump!!". I was still clear in my mind. I was thinking... what the heck.. just jump. After I jumped from the platform, the first word that came out from me was "S**T" =)) =)). It's a short yet exciting moment ;). Will do that again if I had more money HAHAHAHA. Here is a clip of my jump that my friend took.
We went for a 3D2N package that cost RM615. We extend our stay for 1 night that cost us roughly RM50 per person for the room. The rest of the expense was not that expensive as the food there are around the same price with Malaysia (Though it's considered expensive in comparison to other parts of Thai). The bungy jump cost me RM190 (The bungy jump package include 1 jump, 24 photos, insurance, cert and T-shirt)

According to "Into the Blue" movie(which I watched just to check out Jessica Alba), the only sharks you need to avoid are tiger sharks.
If one day I'm killed by normal sharks, someone please sue the movie makers.
